Theronda Hoffman

She was born in George, South Africa and studied at the University of Stellenbosch, achieving a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and History.

She also did further studies at Spier Art school in Stellenbosch and

studied Ikebana flower Art under Charles Kinnear.

A graphic course was done under Ian Taiton in etching, lino, lithography and aqua tinting.

She is inspired by Suffolk skies and landscapes, particularly Aldeburgh and Southwold.         ( Her Venice in the UK )

Artists that she admires are Turner, Salvador Dali and Picasso.

Her motto in life:  ”I live to paint and paint to live.”

She is currently artist in residence at Kesgrave Arts in Kesgrave, Suffolk.

She paints in Acrylic, Oil and she also does sculptures in metal and graphic work as well as video art and mixed media.

She uses space and lines in her work.
