Katie Benge

Katie is based in the Norfolk boards but has lived a nomadic life, born on Anglesey, moved regularly with an RAF family and then with her New Zealand husband.

She has a foundation course in art and a degree in media. For over fifteen years she has worked as an award winning graphic designer for some of the world's top advertising agencies in both New Zealand and the UK. With both her grandfather and father being successful artists Katie has had either a pencil or paint brush in her hands since her early years.

She paints predominately with Indian ink and acrylic accenting her art with gold foil. She also likes to work on varied surfaces from recycled wood, slate and watercolour paper.

Her current collection is focuses primarily on wildlife and nature. Her work aims to highlight the fine detail of the life around us - using gold foil to show how precious and beautiful it is. This collection is original and all hand painted.
