Kate's work is inspired by the fragile coastal landscape of East Anglia, its wildlife and man's influence upon it. Much of her time is spent outside documenting her experiences of the world through observation, sketching and photography, which she then reinterprets through painting, drawing and printmaking.
In 2019 Kate completed her '100 Drawings In 100 Days' project. This work supported the charity Yana, who seek to provide mental health support to those in rural and farming communities. In her 100 drawings Kate visited a diverse spectrum of rural workers and documented their day to day lives in dynamic A3 sketches. These sketches were displayed in a solo exhibition and published in a book. So far the project has raised over £7000 for Yana.
Kate lives in a small North-East Suffolk village where her family have farmed for generations. She holds a BA in Fine Art from Norwich University of the Arts and a Diploma in Wildlife Illustration from Dyfed College of Art. She has exhibited widely across the United Kingdom and her work is held in collections around the world.
