Hayley Trampenau

I work in acrylic, watercolour and ink, drawing inspiration from the natural world. My main passion is animals, wild or domesticated enjoying observing them and trying to absorb their every detail and movement. In my work I aim to capture their beauty, form and character in a way that is humorous, and a touch whimsical, enough to bring a smile to the viewer, but always remaining true to the animal’s natural beauty and spirit.
All my animals develop their own personality while I am creating them. My biggest thrill is when someone says the expression, I have caught, has brought a smile or a laugh. If having my work in your home can make you smile, then I have achieved what I set out to.
