Pottery has been a hobby for me, but over the last ten years I have developed my techniques and ceramics is now one of my passions. The other passion is gardening, and this has influenced my work.

All ceramics are hand built using coils, moulds, slab and freehand. I use an extra smooth Earthenware clay which is fired in an electric kiln to 1020 C. Sometimes underglazes or oxides are applied at the leather hard stage. After the initial bisquet firing the glaze is applied in layers, sometimes several glaze firings take place in order to achieve the desired result.

I continue to explore other natural shapes and forms, and experiment with different glaze/oxide effects.
