Jane Visick

"I have been a professional mosaic and mixed media artist since 2011. Based in Hertfordshire I teach at my Hitchin studio and take private and public commissions. My favourite materials are stained and mirrored glass which I cut by hand.
I'm always on the lookout for interesting substrates and in 2019 I picked up a 6 foot mannequin which joined me in my studio. After 'living' with the figure for several months the idea of a 'Fallen Angel' with the shadow of his lost wings on his back revealed itself. Each piece is hand cut and cemented on and construction took several months. In 2022 my son got married and the Fallen Angel provided a centrepiece for the ceremony.
Although I am semi retired now I will continue to search out new projects and I do still take commissions."
